Curry & Quiz Night

We held our popular Curry & Quiz night on 11th March – it was a huge success and we raised a fabulous £700 for the pre-school! Many thanks to everyone who contributed prizes on the night and those who took part.

Hare and the Tortoise

On the 19th January the Playhouse Theatre Group came to perform the Hare and the Tortoise for the children, and what a performance it was! The production lasted 50 minutes, and the children were taken on a wonderful journey through the seasons as their wintry world turned from spring to summer ending in an exciting race between the two characters. It was beautifully acted, the children were spell bound and even the staff shed a tear! Thanks to everyone involved in the fundraising which enabled us to make this possible! See the gallery page for photos taken on the day.

Fundraising

Fundraising figures are in and so far we have raised a total of £1,197 (with money still coming in) since September! Fundraising has been a huge success thanks to the October Olympics, Christmas tea towels (I’m sure you’ll agree they looked great), childrens’ canvasses and pre-school photographs. Thanks to all the pre-school staff for their efforts and nifty ideas, and to everyone who has contributed to date – we really appreciate all your help.

With the money raised we are arranging for Playhouse Theatre Group to come and perform the Hare and the Tortoise for all the children this term.
